Most who know me well are aware of the work I do and how this pandemic has affected my daily life. My office was thrust into the thick of things from day 1. Many of us were assigned to other key agencies to lend assistance, advice, and guidance. We had to do this predominantly remotely with antiquated means. Our days were very long. At night to unwind, I would go for long drives. I was separated from my boys, my parents, my family, and my friends. My main outlet of Karate class and teaching were not possible in person.
Those of you who are empaths will understand how the emotions of fear, and sorrow you absorb affect you. Finally, I just returned to a very old comfort zone, writing. I started a blog. It was private, I only sent the link to a few friends and family members. At night I would write out the random thoughts that popped into my head. Also at night, I would get messages of encouragement from a friend. One morning I woke up to an email that contained a link and password to Thoughtswarrior.me. Over the past few months, David Cate and I have been designing my website.
I am the Thoughts Warrior.

The Blog contains poetry, life lessons, random thoughts, and who knows what else eventually. It is a work-in-progress.
But what does this mean?
Thoughts Warrior is my way of finding balance in myself. A way to bring some harmony to the chaos in my head and the emotions I was absorbing daily. It is the discovery of what I am and what I am capable of.
Thoughts Warrior is also in everyone. We all struggle to find our balance in life. Especially with today’s state of the world and separation from people and activities that help define our sense of selves.
Thoughts Warriors are David and me together, a storefront, and those that also follow our thought process; A blend of artists, writers, and patriotic Americans working together. The current teeshirt design was one of David’s first creations for me. Throughout this pandemic, we have worked together to provide each other with strength and purpose. A way of making sense of the world. A new beginning of adventures together.
