I wish that for just one minute
I could go back in time
And hold my babies in my arms
And whisper I'm so glad you're mine.
To hold their little hands
And kiss their little heads
As I read them one last story
And tuck them in their beds.
To look into those open eyes
And wonder what they see
As they steadily fix their gaze
And smile back up at me.
For every trial and triumph
That we shared from the start
Pride and love keeps swelling

But time continues forward
And my two strong men
Will spread their wings and move ahead
Never to be babies again.
